1. Place an HTML Widget into the "HomeFeaturedHeadline" Zone on the "TheHomepage" layer with the following content listed below. Besure to use the HTML view of the content editor when pasting in code so that scripts and tags are rendered correctly. Leave the title blank.

<p>This is a great place to give an introduction to your product or services. Login to modify your homepage MVC area and update it to your brand spanking new marketing copy. You can also change the image on the left.</p>

2. To enable the image slider on the Contoso homepage, place an HTML Widget into the "HomeFeaturedImage" Zone on the "TheHomepage" widget layer with the following content in the body. Besure to use the HTML view of the content editor when pasting in code so that scripts and tags are rendered correctly. Leave the title blank.

3. If you want to enable global search in the Contoso theme, you will need to enable the features in the Search Module in Orchard > Modules > Features. You will also need to place the Search Form widget in the "Navigation Zone" on a layer that you want it to display on.
